Enhancing Your Billing Experience with improved security and payment flexibility

At Smarter Drafter, we're committed to continually enhancing our services to better meet the needs of our customers. As part of this commitment, we're announcing updates to our billing process that will not only bolster transaction security but also provide extended payment options for added convenience and flexibility.

Ensuring Transaction Security

In today's digital landscape, safeguarding sensitive financial information is paramount. From April onwards Smarter Drafter will be centralising all payments via the Stripe gateway. Already used by the majority of Smarter Drafter users, Stripe is seen as the industry benchmark for secure online transactions. 

Expanded Payment Options

Understanding that different customers have unique preferences when it comes to payment methods, we're pleased to introduce a range of extended payment options. Whether you prefer the ease of credit card payments, the convenience of direct debit, or the flexibility of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), we've got you covered. Our goal is to offer a seamless billing experience that caters to your individual needs and preferences.

Absorbing Credit Card Transaction Fees

In our efforts to incentivise online and automatic payment methods, we're taking the initiative to absorb all credit card transaction fees on behalf of our customers. This means that you can enjoy the benefits of secure and convenient payment processing without any additional cost. It's our way of encouraging you to embrace digital payment solutions for greater efficiency and ease.

Discontinuation of GoCardless Payments

As part of these updates, we'll be discontinuing payment via GoCardless. While we recognise the convenience that this platform may have offered, we're confident that our new and improved payment options will better serve your needs.

Rollout and What to Expect

These changes will be seamlessly integrated into your billing experience, starting with the next invoice you receive. You'll notice updated logos that align with the Smarter Drafter brand, as well as a refreshed layout that enhances readability and clarity. Importantly, there will be no changes to the billing amounts you're accustomed to.

What you need to do

Upon receiving your updated invoice, we encourage you to take a moment to review the new payment options available to you. Choose the method that best suits your preferences and needs, whether it's credit card, direct debit, or EFT.
