The new integration with Actionstep delivers a true two-way integration between your practice management system and your document automation platform.

Now, with Actionstep Matter Integration, you can pull that structured matter data directly from Actionstep into your documents, and even create new matters in Actionstep straight from a Smarter Drafter form.

What You Can Do with Actionstep Matter Integration

  • Data Retrieval and Synchronisation: Access detailed client and matter data from Actionstep, including property information, transaction details, case-specific data, and more. All sourced from Actionstep’s Data Collections.
  • Field Mapping: Builders can map Actionstep fields to Smarter Drafter templates using a visual interface. Configure it once, and the whole firm benefits, no double-handling, no inconsistencies.
  • Automated Document Population: As forms are filled, Smarter Drafter pre-populates documents with Actionstep data, removing the need to re-enter details and significantly speeding up document creation.
  • Two-Way Data Update: Once a form is submitted, Smarter Drafter can push that data back, creating a new matter in Actionstep with pre-filled contact and matter details, and uploading the final documents to the matter file.
