As we prepare to wrap up 2023, we would like to inform you of our operating hours during the Christmas holidays. This schedule adjustment will allow our team to celebrate the season and reflect on the year's accomplishments, while also ensuring that we remain available to support your needs during this festive period. We would also like to take the opportunity to reflect on the year that was.
The Smarter Drafter offices will be closed across all Australian Public holidays.
The Smarter Drafter offices will be open for the working days between Christmas and New Year (27th, 28th and 29th of December). However, there will be limited resources available to respond to only high priority issues.
Please refer to our online Help Centre or you can log support tickets via the Support Request Page or via email at support@smarterdrafter.com.au. The Smarter Drafter team will be back at full capacity from the 2nd of January onwards.
2023 has been a transformational year for Smarter Drafter. The focus has been on developing a world class team to support our customers into the future. This has led to increasing the number of Lawyers and Legal professionals within our ranks, along with experts in automation and software delivery.
As reflected in our Customer Update in early November and via the all-new Smarter Drafter website, we are focused on streamlining the entire process of creating complex legal documents – from initial instruction-taking to eSignature.
We have already seen updates to the Smarter Drafter application that have delivered an all-new dashboard and an enhanced directory view to make locating specific precedents easier.
Additionally, Smarter Drafter now integrates with Clio, the latest entrant into cloud Practice Management available to Australian law firms.
Early in the new year you will see further updates to the Submissions table that integrate your client and matter details to make managing client work even easier. You will also see innovative enhancements that will streamline client instruction-taking and enhance your drafting processes once you are editing a final document in Word.
The expanded content team at Smarter Drafter have been busy ensuring that our precedents have remained up-to-date and compliant. Recently we have seen updates based on the Unfair Contracts Regime and the changes to Fixed Term Contracts.
Based on customer requests, we have also published Court Forms covering the entire breadth on NSW UCPR and made a significant dent in Victorian County Court Forms. Next cab off the rank in 2024 will be Queensland Court Forms. A full list of our precedents can be downloaded here.
We also made available automated versions of Lexon Wills and EPOAs Risk Procedures. A first of many third party content providers to come in the new year.
It has been a big year of firsts, but at Smarter Drafter we feel like we are only just getting started. We are excited to come back recharged and ready for more in the new year. We wish you safe holidays.
